Game 1 - Murder Mystery
Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair
Terrain:
The First Island
Hajime wakes up along the coast of the first island on a
beach. After Hajime gains his bearings, he begins to explore. As an island it
is surrounded by water and has a beach on it, other areas that you can see while
exploring is an airport, market, ranch and hotel
The Second Island
Once you get to chapter 2 and walk onto the second island it
starts to look a little stranger because this island has a pharmacy and diner
with no employees, a huge beach with a beach house, an extensive library and “ancient
ruins” that are overgrown which is very strange because these ruins look like a
futuristic school.
The Third Island
After the second trial the Third Island is opened. Hajime says
that the ambience of the island is completely different from the other two. He
then goes onto say that it doesn't feel like a resort anymore and how it feels
a little dangerous compared to the others. This island includes a hospital,
music venue, a motel, electric avenue and a movie theatre.
The Fourth Island
The fourth island is probably one of the strangest islands
out of them all, it includes an entire amusement park and you get tricked into
riding a train and being knocked out and wakes up trapped in Strawberry/Grape
Tower.
The Fifth Island
When the Fifth Island is opened up Hajime states the entire
island looks like one gigantic city and something from a Sci-Fi movie which
makes this island the strangest out of all of them.
Architecture:
The First Island
Airport
The first island has an airport but weirdly enough the
airplanes on the Jabberwock Island are heavily broken, the mechanic on the team
states that the engines are missing so they can’t be fixed
Rocketpunch Market
An employee less yet fully stocked market that is on the
island. This market has many goods such as food, drinks and even safety tools such
as night vision goggles.
Usami Corral (Farm/Ranch)
This is a farm which is occupied by livestock, it originally
only had chickens until Usami magically turned a chicken into a cow which was
believed to be a trick.
Hotel Mirai
Hotel Mirai is the complex where the students live during
their stay on the island. Each student has their own cottage, identified with a
small label showing a pixelated representation of their face on the outside of
their door. The inside of each student’s cottage is individually decorated. There
is also a swimming pool located in the centre of the complex.
Hotel Lobby
A room on the ground floor of the main building of Hotel
Mirai. This is where the students can relax and play video games with stairs
leading to the hotel’s restaurant. The Hotel Restaurant is the place where the
students usually meet in the morning and eat breakfast it was claimed to be
large enough to hold a banquet.
The Second Island
Pharmacy
A place where the students can find a variety of different
medicines, including anaesthetics.
Ancient Ruins
The Ancient ruins are what seems to be the abandoned ruins
of Hope's Peak Academy Building that’s these students should be at instead of
the island. There is writing on the circular gate, “Mirai” which is Japanese
for "Future". A password is required to enter the front gate it was believed
that if someone enters the wrong password they would be shot by a machine gun
set near the gate.
Library
There is a giant library filled with many books both
imported and local, this library even includes miscellaneous magazines even
those about the occult. According to Sonia who is a princess the island rivals
the national library in her hometown.
Diner - Restaurant and Parking
There is a modern restaurant which includes parking. There
was a spinning diner sign outside and a parking lot. Inside the restaurant,
there was a bar-table, food shelf, a bathroom and dining tables
Beach House on Chandler Beach
A private luxury Beach House equipped with a walk-in closet,
fridge, and toilets and shower. The shower was busted and couldn't be used though
making it pretty useless. Inside the closet, there was swimming, diving, and
other equipment in case anyone wished to use them on the beach. The drinks
inside the fridge were free.
The Third Island
Hospital
The hospital was a very dreary place and was even stated to
look like somewhere out of a horror movie, this could be a reference to the
fact that there is a movie theatre on this island. The Hospital includes the
main room and three sick rooms on first floor, and staff/meeting room and an
additional resting room on second floor.
Music Venue
A music live house, that includes a parking lot and staff
room, the musician in the group plays here.
Electric Ave.
This is a very strange district that’s filled with
electronic goods, which seems to be out of place.
The Fourth Island
Nezumi Castle (Amusement Park)
An amusement park which takes up the majority of the island.
The park includes a mice-themed castle. A rollercoaster where the students can
ride for free and also a very colourful train. The island also has a funhouse hidden
out of sight. The fun house has no doors and is split up into the Strawberry
House and Grape House each extremely bright and colourful with projections
everywhere.
The Fifth Island
Jabberwock Military Base
Jabberwock Island has its own military base, on this island
the game suddenly becomes a lot more hi tech, here there are warfare vehicles
and heavy weapons, there even includes a helicopter and a tank.
Plushie Factory
The place is where Monokuma produces his replicas of himself.
Sea King Industries
Sea King Industries is an incredibly hi tech institute. The
machines work on making humanoid robots and beasts now.
Characters:
Hajime Hinata –
Hajime is a very realistic person. After everyone gets taken
to the island everyone thinks he’s cynical because he’s the only one
questioning what’s going on even though nothing bad is happening. he’s a very sceptical
and tends to worry more than the other students, but his worries are often very
justified and understandable making him very relatable. They all belong to a
school for the highly gifted and each has a “ultimate” talent, Hinata’s is
originally unknown.
NPC:
Nagito Komaeda –
At the beginning Nagito seems like a polite, friendly, pessimistic
and easy-going guy because he is known as the ultimate lucky student, a student
that was chosen by a lottery unlike the other students with a talent. During
the first class trial it turns out he has an incredibly twisted personality and
that his ultimate talent of luck is an actual talent that has caused his mental
state to deform, he has incredible luck both bad and good luck going from his
parents dying to getting an inheritance to being kidnapped and getting a
winning loo9ttery ticket in the sack he was in. He believes hope is an absolute
good, and any deed done in the name of hope is righteous, even murder. He
thinks trying to cause despair will make people stronger which will create a
brighter hope.
Monokuma -
Monokuma is the mastermind behind the killing school trip that the game is based on. He is a stuffed bear that claims to be the headmaster and says that if any of them want to "graduate" they must murder one of there classmates and not be caught. He is a sadistic and nonchalant character who often provokes the other characters with motives to murder one another and treats life and others emotions like they don;t matter in the slightest, he even says that they are not the main characters that he is waiting for insisting that hes just doing it to pass the time.

Objects:
Each trial has its own set of objects because you need to collect evidence such as the first trial evidence includes, 3 Irons found in the storage room which were turned on, Night-Vision Goggles, knife, bloodstain and even a bloody sellotape.
Perspective:
The persepctive that the game uses and even goes out of the way to say they use on the back of the case is a 2.5D view. they use 2D characters on a 3D background giving a great effect with the art style.
FMV:
Full motion videos that are in the game is the fact that it has a intro and the executions that take place in the game. They use the 2.5D perspective very well in these executions.
Game 2 - JRPG
Persona 4 Golden
Terrain:

The game persona 4 Golden takes place in a small rural town in Japan, a fictional place called Inaba. The younger populace of Inaba call the place boring and say that it’s in the middle of nowhere and outsiders say that they’re in the booneys which is a theme in the game. Inaba is surrounded by hills, crops and riverbanks, and it tends to rain quite often which is another theme in the game as murders take place when it gets foggy. When shadow kanji appeared on the Midnight Channel as a starkly-clothed version of the real Kanji, speaking with a heavy lisp and talking in a stereotypical flamboyant manner. Game 3 - Fighting
Dragonball Xenoverse 2
Terrain:
As a fighting game the game takes place over different levels each can be completely different. Such as the mountains area which is a huge are covered in both mountains that can and can’t be destroyed.
There is also an area called Namek which is a different world, on this level the water is green and the grass is blue which alien like houses on it.
Since the game is also a fighting game about supernatural martial artists there is a stadium with crowds watching them fight.
Architecture:
There is hub world called Conton city which is huge area where there are shops to buy skills and do quests from there you are able to travel to other areas to train
Such as Capsule Corporation in this place you are able to create equipment and train to learn certain skills by being the training partner of Vegeta. The architecture includes a huge dome like building surrounded by tropical trees.
The next place that you can train is a spaceship owned by Frieza the galaxy’s ruler. On the outside the spaceship looks like one of those classic circular one and inside you can see windows where the ruler looks out into space as well as an engine room and other characters spread around the building.
Hercules Mansion is another area that you can go to here there is a huge mansion with a pool by the side to show off the fact they are incredibly rich which is why you go there because by going there you are able to get money.
Characters:
As a fighting game there is plenty of characters and different variants of all those characters with over 70 characters to use.
Time Patroller
The time patroller is just like any RPG character, he is fully customisable and doesn’t really have much of a personality as to allow you to become a character in the game. Your job is to play through a distorted version of the Dragon Ball storyline to restore the timeline to how it should be
Trunks (XV)
Trunks is like your senior time patroller and it’s your job to assist him in the job that he is doing. In the series he is the first person to have ever changed the timeline but it was allowed because it allowed more lives to be saved.
Elder Kai (XV)
Elder Kai is a God like being that takes the form of a grouchy old man. He is a kind man but very loud and tries to be tough on you to make you stronger.
NPC:
Towa and Mira
Towa and Mira are the antagonists of the story who travel through time distorting it by giving the bad guys that have existed through time more power and dragging other enemies into the wrong place in time allowing for more energy to be given off and when the energy is given off Mira becomes stronger which is their goal and in the end they wish to revive the demon world. Towa is a scientist whereas Mira is a creation that was created to become stronger which backfired because he became too greedy.
Objects:
equipment
In the game there is plenty of different equipment that you can use probably hundreds and by using these equipment you can change your stats and appearance allowing yourself to become more immersed with your character.
FMV / Interface:
Game 4
Street fighter V
Street fighter V is all about fighting other characters from around the world all which look incredibly stereotypical which fight in different ways. A certain man wants to get revenge, the guy looks like a Frankenstein wants to fight what seems like the antagonist. This then ends up to two teams of characters, one set which looks positive and the other working with the antagonist which all look negative like two opposites. Next we see an incredibly malevolent being going berserk fighting against a martial artists wearing white which looks alike yin and yang.
The AIMS of the game is to beat the other characters and prove that you are the greatest fighter there is in the world. The only rewards that you get the game you get rewarded with an announcement saying that you won and you can rank up yourself to prove how good you are at the game.
Other existing games are games like Tekken which is all about martial artist’s fighting against each other and at face value it just seems to be about becoming stronger but just like street fighter V it has more depth to it. There are other games such as Dragonball Xenoverse 2 where you travel through time fighting against the biggest enemies to exist and you get rewarded with money/points where you can buy new skills to customise yourself.
The atmosphere of the game starts out looking like a game just about average martial artists fighting to be the best but then it becomes a lot darker and gives the feeling of life and death battles.
Target Audience
The ideal target audience is males from the age of 16-25 in my own opinion. I chose this demographic because that how I see this game going on from the style to the characters. The reason I chose males is because that’s how the demographic of fighting games usually are and it looks like they acknowledge that fact because they bring in woman in who emphasize their body by wearing skin tight suits.
